While I believe that experience helps us with understanding, I also believe that experience prejudices our judgment.
For example, if you come from an abused family life, you tend to see all people as abusive. Similarly, criminals tend to view everyone as criminal.
So, where does that leave us? It leaves us with the need to experience MORE things. It raises the need for education and literacy.

Patterns
One question that has been posed in the last couple years is if the human brain uses something akin the bayesian logic.
I believe it does.
If we consider the priors of Baysesian statistics as human experience, it is tantilizing to imagine that the wa wemake decisions is based on that experience and how we have perceived our experiences.
